Angela Shelby is a passionate community leader, youth mentor, and creative visionary dedicated to empowering young people through music, faith, and the arts. As the founder of Kingdom Remix, a multi-cultural youth community choir established after the COVID-19 pandemic, Angela has created a positive and uplifting space where young voices can grow in confidence, creativity, and purpose. Through her leadership, she continues to inspire youth from diverse backgrounds to use their talents to bring hope, unity, and excitement to their communities while celebrating faith through music.

Angela was born in Albuquerque, NM but raised in the small town of Hillsboro, Texas, where her love for music began at an early age. From singing in her family church to developing a deep passion for worship and performance, music quickly became a major part of her life. Her family later returned to Albuquerque but Angela’s musical journey would take her back to Texas- this time trading country roads for the fast-paced energy of the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex. There, a life-changing opportunity introduced Angela to Dr. Myron Williams and his brother and music partner, Demarcus Williams and the Voices of Power (V.O.P.) family, who later became nationally recognized as MDM & Voices. For more than 14 years, Angela proudly performed alongside some of the most talented voices in the DFW area, recording albums, singing background vocals for major artists, and ministering on worship teams for popular national conferences led by highly respected Bishops and Evangelists.

Following a heartbreaking loss in 2007, Angela returned back to Albuquerque. During that unexpected season of restoration, life came full circle when she reunited with her “old love story turned forever” after 15 years apart.

Angela is the proud wife of 13 yrs to Pastor Damon Shelby of God’s House Church and absolutely LOVES her 4 grandsons- Nehemiah, Scott, Kior, and Kyas, and 2 granddaughters- Amani and Nevaeh.

Today, Angela Shelby is using her gift to uplift THE KINGDOM and inspire the young people of her community through music, mentorship, and unity. While continuing to work with artists whenever a strong background vocalist is needed, her greatest passion is pouring into the next generation and creating opportunities for youth to discover confidence, purpose, and joy through music. Angela’s love for people, passion for unity, and lifelong dedication to music are the driving forces behind why she continues – and will always continue – to share her gift with the world.
